U.S. Mint Offers Dollar Coin Direct-Ship Program

WASHINGTON — If you’re thinking of experimenting with dollar coin integration at your store, but don’t want to invest in a full shipment of $1,000 box of coins, the United States Mint is now offering smaller shipments through the Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Program.

Coin laundry owners can get circulating Presidential $1 coins and Native American $1 coins in quantities of $250 or $500, shipped directly from the U.S. Mint to your store, and the Mint pays the standard shipping and handling costs for domestic orders.

The coins arrive in boxes of 25-coin rolls in about two weeks, according to the Mint. For this program, orders are limited to two boxes ($500) per coin issue, and specific coins are available only while supplies last.
