LAS VEGAS — Betson Enterprises, which distributes coin-operated arcade and amusement equipment that can be found in laundromats and other businesses, recently earned a key distributor honor for an eighth time.
In a vote, the American Amusement Machine Association supplier membership named Betson the AAMA’s 2024 Distributor of the Year. Accepting the award during the Amusement Expo trade show here were President Bob Geschine and other Betson representatives.
“This recognition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our partner suppliers, loyal customers, and the dedicated team at Betson,” Geschine says. “We extend our sincere gratitude for their invaluable contributions, which have made 2023 a remarkable year for us.”
The company maintains sales offices and multiple distribution centers throughout the United States.
In other news, AAMA inducted 14 new members into the Amusement Industry Hall of Fame, including Betson’s own Rick Kirby, executive vice president of Betson Gaming.
Kirby started his amusement career with Bally Northeast. Upon its closing, he joined H. Berti Industries, and Betson New England Distributing Co. Inc. was formed during his stewardship.
As it came to be known as NECO, he managed the Northeast territory and key national accounts, and also had a tenure as a divisional president of Betson Enterprises.
Kirby has served as AAMA president and was a leading presence on industry associations and charitable ventures, Betson Enterprises says. He received the AAMA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
