High-Efficiency Stack Washer/Dryer Ideal for Single-Load Markets

Whirlpool® Commercial Laundry has introduced the High-Efficiency (HE) Stack Washer/Dryer, designed for single-load customers.
The HE washer is ENERGY STAR- and CEE Tier II-qualified, and features a high-speed extractor engineered to remove excess water, providing users with drier laundry and lower energy and water bills.
“Whirlpool Commercial Laundry now offers owners another flexible option to meet single-load customers’ needs,” says Craig Kirchner, global director of commercial laundry at Whirlpool Corp. “Our new stack washer/dryer provides owners and customers with a full-size, high-efficiency washer and super-capacity dryer in the same space typically reserved for a single washer.”
The unit is equipped with a user-friendly microprocessor control panel, which operates both the washer and the dryer. The easy-to-program controls provide simple, one-touch cycle selection and display operating instructions, as well as remaining cycle time, the company says.
The single-payment system is ideal for any market and accepts a number of payment options, including coin slide, coin drop and card reader, the company adds.
The new washer-and-dryer-door design features a 180-degree, heavy-duty hinge for ease of loading and unloading. The 3.2-cubic-foot washer and 6.7-cubic-foot dryer unit comes standard with the Whirlpool Commercial Laundry three-year limited parts warranty.
