American Dryer Corp. (ADC) has developed a feature for dryers aimed at generating revenue through advertising.
Clean View Media™ (CVM) transforms the EcoDry ES series dryer into a video billboard by placing a fully Wi-Fi-enabled screen between the dual-paned door glass of its ES-series dryers. The efficient ES-series dryer will save money, and the CVM screens will make money through digital advertising, the company says. Operators are responsible for generating the advertising.
Digital, out-of-home advertising grew nearly 25 percent in 2010 — faster than any other media outlet, ADC says. Self-service laundry dryers provide advertisers seeking creative ways to reach consumers with a captive audience, according to the company.
“The decision to purchase ADC EcoDry dryers with Clean View Media was an easy one,” says Stephen Ventola, a laundry owner and manager in Rockland, Mass., who recently purchased 16 CVM-equipped ES stacked dryers. “Local business owners are coming to me to secure ad space in the media display.”
